JG-L News-2006-October

- 27th October, 2006 -

I've been busy in the shop, modifying assorted gear and what I've been working on during the last couple of days has been the industrial strength and appearance, longer separator bars for both the wrist and ankle cuff sets from Axsmar, as well as doubled spreaders for the new thigh cuffs. Here's a couple of images of the newest arrangements. Others of them, being worn, will come soon.

OK, I'm back, probably much to your horror and dismay. It was a bloody long return trip, made more so by a series of cascading delays with both Deutsche Bahn and the airline, and to top things off, I returned with a German Stowaway ... the cold that laid Matthias low for a few days. Mine is gradually receding, what with suitable applications of beer and junk food.

Anyhow, enough of my kvetching. I've not been idle and so the next upload has gone in, well ahead of the promised dates. The Non-JG-L Art Section contains 84 images, and the Non-JG-L Pix Section has 120 of yet more gas masks and rubber.

**** SERVICE NOTE ****

I've received a number of comments concerning load times. Until now I've set image sizes for the various Article Pages are between 60-85kb, and 35-50kb for the News Section thumbnails. To try and alleviate the load time issue, from this point forward the following will occur: News Section thumbnails will now be around 20kb and the Article image file sizes will go down to about 50 kb or lower. This last is subject to revision, depending on complaints received.

As a consequences, there will be a small loss of quality in the images, but hey, this IS a free site, and, in case you aren't aware of it, there ARE costs involved to bring you all this stuff. As always, donations are gratefully received ... and rewarded.

I hope this will speed things up for y'all (or in nautical terminology ... yawl). Sorry, but I just couldn't resist inflicting that on you :-).

At the moment I'm in Dresden, staying at ShinyAline's place with Pupett and Matthias. Yesterday, I was privileged to attend a photo-shoot with the two ladies, and after, ShinyAline did a little one for me. Here's some teasers, and I hope you'll visit her site. There'll be a small photo-spread in a bit.

And that's all she wrote folks ... well, until I get home and get my brains back from over Greenland/Northern Canada after the return trip. Gotta tell you, it's been a slice. Expect the next upload somewhere around the 24th-28th of the month.

Things are going well as Pupett and Matthias get ready for their big move. I've stayed out of their hair and helped as best I can where required, but for the most part have just been relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Autumn weather.

I've not ignored the web site though and have shot in the next upload: see Non-JG-L Art Section, Page 18 (95 images) featuring the incredible work of Georges Pichard.

In the Non-JG-L Pix Section, Page 18 (111 images) the topic is different kinds of masks and this time I've sub-divided them into: Dive Masks, Gas Masks, and Medical Masks. Hope you enjoy the pix!

In keeping with the topic of masks, here's some teaser images from Pupett's Blood Angels Site. As always the quality of the photo's is outstanding and the subject matter is beautiful.

- 8th October, 2006 -

I've arrived safely in Germany, although there are some doubts as to my sanity, after a bloody long trip. Matthias met me at the train station and it was really good to see him again. Here's a picture of the engine driver's cab on the ICE train from Frankfurt Airport to Stuttgart. Does that son of a bitch move out!

Upon arrival in Aalen, it was immediately off to the house where a substantial quantity of beer got poured down my neck to revive me. Worked exceedingly well :-).

My newest toys were waiting, but I managed to stave off opening the boxes for an hour or two and then just couldn't resist anymore.

One last message before I climb into the big silver bird and head off to Germany again :-). As always, the merry crew is beavering away in its assorted corners of the fetish universe. Pupett and Gord are busy, as is Anna Rose and all the others. Here's a few pix to keep you interested.

Here's a couple of pix of the latest modification to the Axsmar wrist and ankle cuffs ... adjustable separator bars. These are marine, tubular turnbuckles (stainless steel, of course) and are bloody strong. Further modifications will come, to extend their lengths.
